Tyler Mills ’05 was born in Chicago. Her collection Tongue Lyre won the 2011 Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First Book Award and will be published by Southern Illinois University Press in January 2013. Her poems have appeared in AGNI, Antioch Review, Crab Orchard Review, Nashville Review, Prairie Schooner, TriQuarterly Online, and elsewhere. Her BA is from Bucknell, and she earned an MFA in poetry at the University of Maryland. She has received a work-study scholarship from Bread Loaf and a John Woods Scholarship from the Prague Summer Program. Tyler Mills currently lives in Chicago, where she is pursuing a PhD in creative writing and teaching at the University of Illinois-Chicago. For more on Tyler, check out her website here.
